I am going to encased that solder spot in silicone to keep it from breaking.
I'm not sure about doing that. If it does break again cleaning it will be a bear. If your solder joint is good this time it should be fine and you do have a slam button in a pinch. I believe the reason it breaks is from people twisting or screwing with the connector . If you need to remove the green wire just be gentle when you pull on it and no twisting it.


I agree with Mike on the silicone idea. just make sure you have a good solder joint (with rosin core solder, NOT acid core). My "repair " has held up great for about 3 years so far without anything else done to it. Glad you got it up and on the road again!! Stay Safe !!
