I took my Pitbull to Co from Ks. Took jets but never had to change em. Rode from Denver to Blackhawk no issues.

S&S did have a Super Sidewinder Plus manual that covers the Carburetor, you might want to check if it's still available.

What is the voltage when you read across the +(pos) and - (neg)terminals? Whatever that voltage is you should be able to read the same...

Welcome from Kansas first of all. You say you replaced the battery? Double check all your battery connections. Not uncommon for one wire...
