Top speed?

I haven't been able to find any data on the top speed of my 107" 1999 Vintage Sport. Likewise, I don't have the balls to top it out on the roads we have around here.

Anyone got any data on what this thing is capable of? It's factory-stock.

I know my 107 Prosport with some engine work will do 120 plus in one hell of a hurry and has more than that in it. Put it on a dyno and see what it does.

I'm happy doing 75 cruising along on mine! Just not interested in topping it out! Have done 115 mph had a lot more throttle left but these bikes are cruisers not jet sleds!

I just got my bike last week, so I'm gonna wait a lil while till I get use to it before I try to go top seed. I'm not generally interested in top speed as much as I just like to get on it from red light to red light every now and then.

You dont ever find out because you are GONE if you going down at 140mph on a chopper.
That's my point! I love riding my bikes as often as possible, but in a safe manner. I would love to get a 3rd bike and let loose at 180MPH but I still have teenagers to raise! Just because the bike can do it, doesn't mean we ought to. I sound like my mother! LOL!! But it's true, pop a tire at 140 and bad things can happen quickly!

Anybody ever max out their 08 K9 carb? I'd love to know what my bike can do, but if it's in the 140+ range I'll probably never see it. There just really isn't any safe roads to do that kind of speed around here.

Speed wobbling starts at 120 until I bought the fork brace. Couldn't tell you with the brace haven't found a place to see what it will do. Really have no desire to do much more than 120.

You are missing literally seconds of getting to 180 and back down to the speed limit. When you own the world's fastest production bike, the chassis is there too. A chopper is not a high speed chassis.

120 is when a plane can take off. My exit ramp speed was 160 until I almost brake faded into the intersection. 150 and less makes a big difference. So the average is 120-130ish when no one is around.

A BD bike will never stop well @ 120 like this bike, having one of the best brakes for a production bike. So when we put on the brakes, you are way up ahead and I'm off the bike having a smoke.

I'd say the way it's geared and the power behind it, maybe 130+ at least. And the engine is right at redline in top gear.

I'm under 30 and a sold my CBR600RR to get the dog. I had zero interest in going 120mph.

I don't mind getting on it, but right around of 90-100 is where I lose interest.
