I stated here on another thread that i had my 08 K9 carb to 245klm/hr.:job:
Eyes watered, feet blew off the pegs, only had an open face and no leathers (idiot) Also i may add that afer i slowed down the smell was disgusting.:loony:
70 miles ahour or 112klm/hr is all i need on Australian roads opps i mean goat tracks. Leave the top end speeds for the croutch rockets. They may beat me to the next bar, but when i get there i look fucken cool!!!!!!!!!!:D:2thumbs:

That last sentence sums it up nicely.

Mr. Wright

Knows some things
I believe it's more for the air under the front fender than the tank. I know a guy that put an Indian front fender on his chopper, and was having all sorts of high speed wobble, even as slow as 80 -90. He took the fender back off and it went away.

X2

The front fender and the tank act as air foils and will give you lift. These bikes are not made for speed. Ya, I've done around 120 once or twice when I was "not so sober" but it's a fast way to die. If your front end bearings aren't set just right you will get a high speed wobble and it will dump your butt on the pavement. (I lost 2 good friends that way over the years)

If you ever watch Easy rider they never did over 50 on those old pan heads.

If you want speed buy a rice rocket. I would love to have a Hubisco.... (spelling may not be correct)

I got rid of my sports bikes for the 03 chopper so I'd stop being chased for speeding. Going 180 mph, felt better on my sport bike then going 70 mph on my 03 chopper. Sport bikes are made to go that fast, these Big Dogs have no business going that fast. Anything over 80 mph, and your just asking for trouble. I honestly couldn't care if I ever saw 80 mph or higher on my chopper.

A buddy and I were on our bikes during our lunch hour. If we are doing 30 mph it would surprise me. We are talking, as we ride to the local grill to grab some lunch, A local bike cop was at the top of the hill we were approaching, and had his radar gun on us. I laughed my ass off and yelled " really" at him as we went by. They are fun to ride at speeds that don't get you chased by Law enforcement.

I have been foolish before one time on the k8l9 before and got it to 148, never again.. my babies flashed before my eyes when I looked at my speedometer.. it's foolish to go that fast on or in anything much less with two wheels.. so my suggestion is not try!

5 mph over is my new limit. Maybe 10 once in awhile if on the interstate. Just like taking in the scenery and the feel of the road.

The fastest I've had the Wolf was 95. The wind was catching my zipped up jacket and causing it to strangle me. Back when I had my Honda Blackbird, I took it to a little over 150 a couple of times. Oddly enough, in cars or on bikes, my balls start shriveling up at about 155 on public roads.

Damn how do you think going that fast.that's over 227fps. If you were to yawn you would probably miss about a quarter mile of scenery :)
