To be honest I don't know how you all cruise at 90 all day long. When Mad Dog and I ride and cruise at 80 it just beats the crap out of me. I could only cruise at 90 for a short period. 70-75 is perfect bike sings...:2thumbs:

I've run mine up to 120 and its a bit tense. Runs awesome 75 to 80. As long as the revs stay below 3500 there's no major vibration. I'm so impressed that whatever speed it doesn't seem to be laboring.

I have mine up to a little over 100 several times, seem to be fine as far as handling running straight down the interstate. My 1200 Suzuki you could turn loose of the handle bars, kinda laying down on it over 130 and it was smooth as silk. I have enough trouble talking them out of a ticket or going to jail doing 56 in a 30. :D

I haven't been much over 100 on my k9 I has alot of torque but it just doesn't feel safe much over that and it takes to long to get there. I can hammer on my hayabusa bust 180mph and then back down in no time. I like going slow on my chopper so everybody can see it.

I guess I'll chime in! I can cruise around 80 all day. I routinely do between 100 and 120 just for kicks. My Dakota Digital which is accurate said 130 one day. I am sure there is more beyond a shadow of a doubt on my 2008 Ridgeback.:D However, if I want to go fast I'll pull out my Daytona 675 which slices through the air like a sheet of paper.:whoop:

I decided to wring mine out on hwy 21 last weekend. Pegged the speedo at 120 before 5th gear was done, then ran 6th up to 4500rpm,and my size 14 boot decided to act like a sail and my right foot flew off the peg ,so I let off.

My buddy has a k-9 built up to a 121 cu. I still have the picture he text me on the way home last week. 160 mph on his Dakota Digital. I've ridden with him at 120 but I back off. Too much for me.

Looking forward to retirement
2004 BD Chopper at 100mph and it was getting squirley. On my 1998 HD Lowrider with a evo motor with tons of work done to it. topped it out at 116 mph on HWY 79 going north towards Rapid City SD held it at 116mph for 4-5 miles. Took a crotch rocket up to 170mph on I-49 south of Shreveport. Yes, everythings a blur!!!! Plus at those speeds your butt is puckered so tight you could change a bricket of coal into a diamond!!!

I dont have the skills to strecth the Dog's legs like that. I know it will hold 120 ish with plenty of giddyup left. Itsnot how high it will go, its how quickly it gets there. Schooled a guy on a zx6 one night. The Dog surprised him and by the time he realized what was up, it was too late!

130 on a zx750 ninja, other guy's back tire blew from under pressure killing him.... RIP. 135 in a corVET, and now I just go 5-10 over the speed limit on my dog, it's not the speed anymore, it's the quality of the ride, the destination and the time with my brothers I am with!

you have to be a damn idiot to do those speeds unless you are on a groomed race track in a controlled environment (fenced to keep critters and old ladies in big slow cars out). biking responsibly is not only important to your loved ones (they are the ones that have to deal with your blood stained aftermath) but is most important to promoting good will towards bikers from the motoring public. dont mean to lecture here but in Pa at those speeds if a critter doesnt nail you - someone with a cell phone will! just my opinion.
