I've pushed my K-9 to 110 a couple of times on the page extension here in St. Louis. I don't do it anymore. The thought of the road rash I would incur if something were to happen just isn't palatable. It's an awesome drag strip piece of highway, great visibility, low traffic volume. Parts of it are elevated so you don't have to worry about John Deer or Wiley Coyote darting out in front of you.
My 06 k9 is really vibrating through the handlebars once you get to mach 1. I don't think I could sustain that speed, my hands would go numb, even with gloves.
She'll cruise at 90 though fairly well, but the sweet spot seems to be 65-70. Very comfortable.
Tim over at Gateway Big Dog has said that the PSI Big Air Carb will smooth out that vibration. Something to do with how it aspirates the fuel. Evidently it turns raw fuel into a finer mist compared to the super G carb. And for whatever reason that smoothes out the engine vibration felt through the frame and bars.
Once I've paid off the note I'm going to try it.
