Alright guys, got under the tank to take a look at the wiring, not as bad as I thought. The JST connector that goes to the led cluster has two wires pulled out and they will not lock back in. I’ve spread the wire clip and tried both ways. New connector or push back in a super glue wire to connector…….

I would use new connectors but thats just me. Finding the problem is the hardest part.
New connector. JST connectors can be a pia when they fail. Great when they work tho.
Don’t be to upset if when you change the connector that the cluster still doesn’t work. None of those work on my 2000 even though everything else works & looks perfectly fine. I am just guessing but you own a ‘04 mastiff?

I’m going to test the pinouts today with power and verify before I go any further. I’m unable to find just the connector itself, only the harness. 04 pitbull
Here is all I could come up with. They may work with ya?
If you end up with the new EHC, you will have a new connector with the new harness. Just a thought.

Thanks! The harness from HDM is $24. I’m trying to find out what voltage that PCB works at to test. I’m sure the ECH drops it to low voltage

On the homestretch, new Axel EHC, Harness and she has spark! I’ve taken the time to go through entire bike a service/fix all the small things it needed. Last step, brakes. I installed all the calipers and bleed. Found out rear one needs rebuilt. Pistons are hanging and causing severe drag. I’ve ordered a kit from HDM but does anyone know if any other seals/orings are readily available that fit? Trying to ride tomorrow and new kit from HDM won’t be here until next week. Fingers crossed.
Well technically you can ride without a rear brake. Glad you got it figured out. Ride on brother.
Sometimes you can just clean out the build up as long as the old seals are not ripped
It not leaking? Just sticking
