K9 Rebuild/Upgrade

Just dropped the bike off at SouthernThunder, Brunswick, GA. Beautiful shop, really liked the owner. Had a K9 on one of the lifts (04??-05??). Shop was completely full, nice array of Harleys and the K9. So, as expected, he told me that he was busy, but that he would get started Monday. Always encouraging to find a shop that works on Big Dogs. So, I mentioned in an earlier post that I thought my front brake master cylinder was leaking (saw Fluid there at least twice.) I eventually saw fluid coming out of the tiny vent hole, so I know there's a problem. I suspect the Gasket is leaking. I've got the whole gasket/Sightglass Kit. I also remembered to have the reservoir cover chromed in anticipation of changing it out. Hopefully this will take care of the leak.

Primary Chain Locking Tool for Motorcycle

This was the only item I ordered. Two to a set. According to the video, this should take care of it. Is there anything else??? Also, the inner Primary as well as the starter are new. Is a shim(s) necessary for the starter? How can I be sure? I certainly don't want to install this only to find out that there are alignment issues with the starter

It's WW Cycles, Leipzig, Germany
You can order directly from their website. Make sure to select the EVO 32cm. If I remember correctly it's 12.5 inches. Fit mine perfectly.

Wow...Compens is almost 5 hours away. Brunswick is just 45 minutes. I think I just need the carb rejetted. It's running alot better already. The vacuum line going to the back of the Spike Air wasn't clamped correctly and it vibrated loose.
Yes it is, but I won't lie he's a damn good mechanic and he really knows his stuff. Plus having a dyno that will fit your bike for sure is a great thing.

Did a little more prep work today. Installed the little rubber inserts on the battery Covers. Also Installed the Struts, taillights, and wiring. Tried installing the front Fender Mounting Brackets but the new Bolts I ordered were 1/4" too long. I'll have to reorder those. Anyone know what the little black seal/Gasket goes to (Pic 2 & 3). It came with the Battery Cover mounting kit.

It came from BIG DOG so it may be something new that they've added. The only idea I had was that it attaches to the front side of one of the battery Box covers, (where the two covers come together) acting as a vibration dampener/separator???
That’s the only place that makes sense.if so why not 2. One for each side

I'm planning to send this to a machine shop in Kentucky. I bought the Accutronix Tribal Grips as a guide for what I want. The Big Dog Grips and Plastic inserts will give them the correct dimensions. This will give me a matching set of grips/Foot Pegs. Don't know what they're going to charge but my father knows the owner and has always gotten a good deal. Once they create the Computer CAD File they can produce them again and again.
