Does Bigdog have a reason for going with the skinnier rear tire???
Yes C, as I stated in my post it's to not look over-wide when the bags are on it. Will be interesting to see what the bags look like when they come available.

:hi: mostly to keep the ass end from looking too fat with the bags mounted. also, can you imagine how much rubber you would be slingin' with a 330.35r 23 on the back? remember, the taller the tire, the skinnier it is going to look. :2thumbs:

Besides being skinnier for the bags, they are moving toward the new trend for taller but somewhat thinner tires - like you see on cars and big SUV's lately. So it is also a style decision.

they've obviously seen Knotso's bike with his bags on it :D

Ray (and others who have seen it in person) how do you think the paint will hold up around the seat area?

Lee, I am working with BDM on a set of bags nothing like mine..

The new Wolf looks to be more of a chopper than the Pitbull..

That seating area where the riders legs come down is going to be hell on the paint, and the painter is going to go thru hell lining up the paint to flow continously...

Guys, I had no info on what the bags would look like or the cost. Nothing about total cost of the bike either. Probably be pretty pricey though as the dealers always raise the price on new models!!

Lee, seat looked good tucked in so don't think it will rub anymore than our current seats that rub the frame rails (or at least mine do!).

This is pretty but I liked the one that was at Myrtle, all black.

hey Ray - I was thinking what Knotso alluded to about the riders jeans / leathers rubbing the paint. Nice looking bike though.

Smart to build a bike with a smaller tire. I wouldn't buy a 300 bike. Neither would every friend I ride with with exception of one that rides a k9.
Why do you say that about the 300 rear tire? What are the negatives? Thanks

The wider the tire the less handling you have. On the pro streets you have a wider front tire to give it less stagger. On the K9 you have skinny front and huge rear. I have rode a K9 and liked it. But I prefer to have a bike that is a little more nimble. 250 is a good compromise I think.

Group Buy! I want one too!:2thumbs:

new speedo

New gauge is pretty cool. Not only can you switch from RPM and speed on the needle and graphical display but the needle color will change from red to blue when you make the change. It will also tell you if your battery voltage drops below a certain voltage level and the service countdown is user programmable from 500 to 5000 miles. It still has an auto dim function but that can be toggled on/off.
