Here is what I heard and saw in Sturgis with the new Wolf. It's a beautiful bike and if they come out with a chopper version I may think seriously about getting one. Glenda got her picture taken by "Hotbike" magazine on the bike so maybe we will see it in the mag!! The BD techs say it is awesome to ride and it feels real comfortable when sitting on it.
First big change is the speedo. Check this one out. It has two buttons, it displays your speed and the large window will display you RPM in real time so no more 500 increments. The window will give you the option of selecting speed or RPM also. It will have a couple tripometers for your enjoyment. All the idiot lights are on the inside, you can faintly see them. Notice its a lot larger now that it doesn't have the tach ring. Best part is it will be retrofitted to fit all our bikes at a later date!!
Here are the struts where the bags will mount. Look closely and you can see the 4" piece that you remove to mount the bags. For you that asked about the tire size (220mm) I was told by Nick Messer that it was so the rear end would look to wide. I like the look of the 220.
Also this pic shows the brake drive side system making for a clean left side.
Another great thing is the EHC connection style casing will be reversed. On yours the harness is female and slips into the EHC (male). This will be reversed so the harness will have the outer casing that will slip over the outside of the EHC to prevent water and stuff getting into it.
Also notice the gas cap is moved to the high side of the tank with on the jiffy!
I requested to receive the first retrofitted speedo and test it out. I want one now. Think I will get it?
This is one beautiful bike.
