My question is what RPM are you guys running to get 35+ mpg. I get 25 - 30 and never more. On the freeway 30 is the most I have seen. I typically cruise the freeway at 3000 rpm and when in the mountains more like 3500-4500. 117, E carb, V&H pipes, Thunder Heart programmable ignition set to 3.

I might suggest you drop the RPM down from the 3500-4500 RPM range to help with your MPG. Although I'm not sure of the mountain conditions you are riding in to keep the RPM in that higher range.

You can also pull your spark plugs to see how rich/lean you are running. This can have an impact on fuel economy. :old2::chopper:

With those jets and cam, that's prolly the only RPM range it stays running in. When you are stopped at a red light are you at 4000rpm waiting for the light to change?:oldhardlaugh:
My typical rpm range is 3000 - 3500, I don't get on it too hard or very often...usually it's just a quick twist of the wrist to go past a big wheel bagger:crazybitch:.. I think dentdude is wanting to pick up a big wheel with the insurance money from the pitbull.. :oldhardlaugh:
