I noticed that too...100 miles and I start looking for a fuel stop. On Road Trips, running above 70mph, I will go to about 125, only because these dogs get way better mpg the faster they go.
Yeah me too.. but I wasn't all tech savi back then and kinda still aint.. lol..I had to look back at the beginning to check . There's still quite a few of the first members still here. I wish I would have found the site sooner.
The cheese is old n moldy!!!145 before the 585 and dual runner, now its a 100. But I'm usually stretching my legs by 50-60 miles anyway
Well you've only been a member since 10'I had to look back at the beginning to check . There's still quite a few of the first members still here. I wish I would have found the site sooner.
Idk, I have gone about 130 and switched to reserve and made it 22 miles until I could fill upI have to ride across town to get to work so I'm looking for a station at 100 miles. On long bike rides I've pushed it to 130 miles. I'll agree with previous comments about the reserve, it's pretty much for looks.
My Mastiff has at least 3/4 gallon on reserve, if you ever remove your tank or for shits and gits, drain it with the petcock on run and after it stops, turn it to reserve and see how much more comes out.I have to ride across town to get to work so I'm looking for a station at 100 miles. That's too funny!!!!Leave the cap loose and it should evaporate.

Oh I have already done that. On reserve an additional 1/4 of a gallon comes out which typically gives me around 8 miles depending on traffic, speed, etc. What I mean by "pretty much for looks" is I don't depend on that 8+- miles to get to a station for the chance of running out. Instead I hit reserve at 100 miles (in town) then head straight to a station. I should have been more clear in my statement. My Mastiff has at least 3/4 gallon on reserve, if you ever remove your tank or for shits and gits, drain it with the petcock on run and after it stops, turn it to reserve and see how much more comes out.![]()
Gotcha, the only reason I went 22 is cuz I had no choice to. I was going to ride this morning, started her up, let her warm up while I geared up and she died, I looked at my trip and I had 128 on it, flipped it to reserve and ran fine.. I opted to take my truck and not chance the 8 miles to the nearest open gas station that time of morning.. so tonight when I get home I'll ride her up to the gas station that is only a mile away but isn't open 24/7..Oh I have already done that. Drained my tank yesterday, I would say it's real close to a gallon of reserve on my mastiff..My Mastiff has at least 3/4 gallon on reserve, if you ever remove your tank or for shits and gits, drain it with the petcock on run and after it stops, turn it to reserve and see how much more comes out.![]()
1 gallon? Reserve is 20% of the entire tank? So you can go 30 miles like to see that. Have the wife ready to bring you fuelDrained my tank yesterday, I would say it's real close to a gallon of reserve on my mastiff..![]()
I said it's close to a gallon, not sure the exact ounces but there is a lot in reserve. Sue is always ready for my beckon call, by the way..1 gallon? Reserve is 20% of the entire tank? So you can go 30 miles like to see that. Have the wife ready to bring you fuel
