Question: Does the front Brake line route through the hole in the triple tree?
Snuffy, I've got the same Grips you have. I get a little bit of vibration rattle from mine, do you have the same issue? Bad azzzz bike...love your paint. By the way, never heard another word from Frankie Serrano??? Tried messaging him twice through the FSD App but so far crickets. I guess that's a bust. When I first mounted the BLOW I was thrilled, sounded like a Top Fuel Dragster. Then I pulled them off to do some other work and ever since I've got an exhaust leak. I've tried about 4 times, each time using new Gaskets. I've tried flat and tapered Gaskets but same problem. I looking into having someone else build me a set. If it works out I'll let you know. If it doesn't work out I have no other option than to get a set of V&H.
I had mine machined to accept a sleeve to make them fit perfectly. Problem is you can’t get the sleeve anymore. I luckily had a friend who had a set and machined them to fit. I too reached out to Frankie a few times but never heard back. Not looking good. I am overall pretty happy with the V&H. Not what I wanted but they work well and sound good. Best of luck with the blowSnuffy, I've got the same Grips you have. I get a little bit of vibration rattle from mine, do you have the same issue? Bad azzzz bike...love your paint. When I was using metal grips, I would wrap the end of the bar with teflon tape. It would make them fit snugly, not rattle and operate smoothly.Wow...I really dislike the rattle. I'll probably put my stock Grips back on. They're new anyway. I'd give anything to get a set of Tribals that fit. I've looked everywhere but nobody sells them anymore.
Yes, on my 07 it does.Question: Does the front Brake line route through the hole in the triple tree?
JerseyBigMike told me about the Quick bleed. Works great! Great information!Just finished bleeding my brakes using 'Quick Bleeder Valves'. If you haven't used these before they're really great because they allow you to bleed your brakes by yourself. They have a built in check valve that prevents air from getting back into the system when the bleeder valve is open. Also, with the valve open, no fluid comes out of the brake cylinder until you pump the control. Once you get a steady stream of fluid with each pump...they're blead. Close the valve and you're done. Note: Attach a hose to the bleeder valve to prevent fluid from getting all over your wheels.
If you’re near the coast the salt is in the air. No storm needed. The humidity and salt air will corrode and rust any unprotected surfaces in a short time. Unfortunately the storage unit probably won’t offer much protection. Best of luckYou got that right! I live about 12-14 miles from the coast and it never occurred to me that if a storm is strong enough it will carry salt. Didn't have this problem in Kentucky. If I had known about the possibility then I would have washed the bike down after the storm. I just wiped it down and covered it back up. So with the storage unit I should be OK. I can't do this again. Getting too old and way too expensive.
