if i were to buy a bike today, it would be a new k-9 without a doubt. that said, i have only owned my big dog for a short time and rode maybe 4k miles or so.
my problems to date have been very small. i feel good about the bike being under warranty for almost another year and being able to get a lot of help from the people who "know" at this forum.
sure, the concers about the electrical stuff puckers my ass--- but these days everything you buy is too damn complicated.
i have to say that i am encouraged by both the manufacturer and the dealer who has worked on the bike.

for me, since riding the big dog, everything else seems like just camping out. add 2 more cents, chuck

Yes I would buy another but If i were in the same boat as a few of you guys I might not. I might just build my own and keep the wiring simple.

I'm at about 7100 miles and my only problem so far is a broken clutch cable so I'm very happy.

I think these bikes look bad ass and there isn't much out there with the same wow factor

Just went for a local ride last weekend, maybe 100 miles, with two other BD buddies - a ridgeback and another K-9. Rolling along behind them, I was continually impressed with how cool they looked, and then I just felt fortunate to be one of the pack.

None of us has had any significant problems with our Dawgs, and what little did happen was corrected immediately by our most excellent dealer.

Great design, great dealer, great BDM support, great friends, hot ride, fun toy to tinker on, no payments. I think I need to start working on Mrs. P8RIOT to convince her we need a new Wolf when they come out.

Not that the P8RIOT Puppy is ever going anywhere. Who made the comment earlier about people paying big money for rusted out old bikes? Someday, long after I'm gone, somebody may discover this old K-9 covered with dust in the corner of the garage, but it sure ain't gonna be ME that sells it. :D

I voted no - but I have no plans to ever replace my Pitbul, I love this bike and it gets a lot of attention!!.....I would buy another bike in the future, but it will be a Ultra or a touring model - long rides would be better suited on this type of bike. My Pitbull has been reliable after 8000 miles with very minor issues.

Like T Mack, I am wanting to buy another, but am looking for a 2004-2005 dog, but have very limited funds. I will keep trying.

No major issues with my Dog to date, and my latest lil issue comes from my riding style (I keep forgetting i am riding a custom cruiser and ride on rough back roads like I am on my atv). Same road, some time back, Raywood had a minor issue. You would think I woulda learned, but hey, there are NEVER bikes nor cops back there.

Greedy I guess. Want a chopper and a pro street. :D

Figure in this economy I can pick up one for a fair price.

Buy another in a heart beat!

I wouldn't, but I will never again buy another production "custom". What are you getting for your money? Dealer network, mechanics, and warranty mostly suck. When I got mine it was still under warranty and after putting it into 2 different shops for various problems, I realized if I don't learn to work on it myself, I'm screwed. Now my buddy's with the newer models (08K9, 07K9) are struggling to get things fixed. The fuel injection seems to be a nightmare, and don't get me started on my computer, I've already got a direct wired headlight, no horn, and lost my left signal over the weekend. I'd just buy a one-off custom or build my own. Used one-offs go for peanuts anymore, and what good is a warranty when the dealer keeps it a month every time, and half the time doesn't even fix it? I don't regret buying mine, I love the thing and it's been a great learning experience, just would never buy one new.
