My bad. She turned over and fired off. I let her run around 3 minutes and shut her down. When I cranked her the second time that is when the starter shaft sheared. Shut it down and fished it out. Took a spare starter and replaced the shaft. Out riding now.

For sure not expecting the sheared shaft. The bike is shifting out well and the starter is working as it should. This bike has been abused by a previous owner. I love it but she can be a pain in the ass at times. The saving grace is i didn't give a whole lot for her and she runs like like the Big Dog she is.

Im not sure what the issues are with the steel shearing. I did have a main shaft sheared clean. I spoke with the boys at Baker in Michigan and they explained when the company got going they insisted on saving money everywhere. Baker boys were not suprised at my issue and described everything to a t that happened without knowing. In the end I rebuilt the transmission and bought a used for a backup. Im not suprised the sheared happened with a shaft in the starter.

I don't really run this bike down. I love it. It had given far more to me than she has took. I loved her paint when I saw it. I love the power coming from a 117 S&S. No, not the biggest anymore, but damn she has ass to move her and me. I have broke her down and put her back together. I have learned and continue to learn. I just damn sure have a good time with her.

In the end, I have also learned to listen to you. Those that know far more than this simple mind does.

Thanks again......for patience with a guy that forgets faster than I learn.

Still turning heads, running with the big dogs. I don't think she will ever stay on the porch.

Only thing better is Hanging out of a blackhawk on a 50 call.

I love that girl, she gave me freedom whaen I was all locked up. One of kind, that's for sure.
