You need to polish that motor before you put it back in, especially after all that paint work :D
I repainted the engine too, and polished the ebges of the fins. I'm going to wait till I rebuild the engine before polish it out completely. I have my eye out for another engine. I've missed two already by just minutes.

Looks really good Shannon. Today is the first day of Spring, when will that beast be ready to roll?
Waiting on paint to dry so I can buff it out. The gas tank, oil tank and front fender look good, but I'm going to shoot some more clear on the rear fender. My angel is fatter than she looks. It's taking a little more clear than normal the cover her. They don't make onion paper anymore, and the lightest paper I could find was 4 lbs. Even though it's less than half the thickness than copy paper, it still hard to cover up.

Shannon,

What´s that table on the wall, on the background?

It's a decimal equivalent chart. Every number you think of, you think of in metric. Everyone I think of is a decimal. I need to remember what the fractions go with them, and my drill- tap sizes. Plus it just looks really cool hanging on the wall.:)

All that typing and I never answered your question. :loony:
My goal is April 15th. That will give me a couple days for tweaking before we ride on the 18th.

Not only did I manage to get a ride in today, look what I got done. This side is done, I'll finish up the other side tomorrow. So when my paint dries enough to buff, all I will have left is to wire from the seat back, and the exhaust.
I've have to run to Council Bluffs next weekend, but I still think it should be ready to roll by April 15, which will be 3 months from the time I started tearing it down.

Say what you like. She kept me from getting anything done this last week, and made me take all the kids and grandkids up to Iowa for me sisters umpteenth wedding, this last weekend. But you got to hand it to her, she came down to the shop tonight to help me buff out my paint.
What a gal.

I've got quite a bit done the last two nights. From the seat forward is done. LED's, all the wiring, brakes bled, oil lines, all the tins in place. It took an hour and 20 minutes to get the freaking wires on the horn. really tight fit.
If I don't get interrupted, I could very possibly be riding this weekend.

Good job! I don't know how I missed this thread. Too bad because I have a steel rear fender that would have fit right in although yours looks great. I hope you replaced most of those fuses with a few circuit breakers.

Ok, I got most of the LED's on today. I still have 3 left, I think I'll put them under the bike, shining on the ground. The most unique one is this, I drilled a hole thru the primary backer plate, and stuck one inside.
Yes it has a safety belt, incase it falls off, it won't get caught in the belt.
