Wow, you guys must've duct-taped your hands onto the handlebars or something! You ever see a fly hanging onto your car windshield for all he's worth, then eventually getting blown off, well...that's how I felt at only 105mph on my '05 Chopper! Can't imagine how it would feel at the speeds you're talking about..yikes!:loony:
Hahahhaha........ Yup Me too at 110 on the chop.

A good friend of mine had one of the earlier Hayabusa's, maybe a 1999 and the speedo went to either 220 or 240 mph. Anyway he layed out a strip of interstate that he knew was free of hazards and was good and straight, rode it several times one night when there wasn't any traffic. Said he just had to see if it would do 200. Said he got down real low, hugging the tank and took it up and as soon as it touched 200 he backed off. Said it was really scary. I was kind of skeptical but he's not the type to make up stuff.

Ride it like you stole it
that's just crazy. I've had the dog around 115. that was more than enough. Now in my young and stupid days. I stretched my 954rr out to 175 according to the speedo. Was probably more like 168, but nevertheless It was fast as shit. I only did it so I could say I did it one time.

Raywood and I were above 100mph for an entire tank of fuel, with full camp gear a couple of years ago and kept it around 105-120 the whole time.
Did you know a spike air cleaner can rotate at 110 and a hand held camcorder is useless above 100mph?
We were not going with the flow of traffic and we did get pulled over eventually by a state bull.
Had it up to about 130 a couple times, that was enough.
But 105 is a walk in the park with these scoots and is actually quite comfortable.
I ride in a bubble so all is good.

Everyone should try it at least once, it will instill a greater confidence level in the rider.

See Ya:cheers:

Had mine to 125...130 wasn't really that bad....little shakey. But 95 to a 100 is smooth as glass. A buddy of mine gave me shit last summer cause we were running around 90 and I was drinkin a coke.

I refuse to comment on the grounds that it would incriminate me! Been riding a very long time and have done all I want to do and then some while feeling the rush of speed. Lived to see another day on many occasion, sometimes you just got to count your blessings.

Had the BD up to about 125-130, front gets a little squirrelly, lots of head shake... I don't mind cruising along at 90-105 but much more is just not what these bikes are designed for.

I have had several sport bikes and have had all of them in the 160+ range on the "open roads..." I had a highly modified Ducati up to 181 on the front straight at MMP. But these bikes are built for it. The are designed with minimal rake, steering dampeners/stabilizers, low travel suspension, etc.... Now days....even at only 29, I try to keep anything over 90, be it car or cycle, to the track!

I cannot afford to lose my cdl job, so my speeds have dropped considerably.
Yet, I got other toys to quench the spd need.

Will say though there is nothing beeter than pulling away from some hot dog on a HD with a full load of camp gear on the scoot.

I hear that, if I loose my license I loose my job too. Just have to find the right place. We have lots of out of the way strait azz roads here so it aint to hard to find a place to zip it up!:2thumbs: I have the "Safe Driver" on my license for about 15 years!!! What they don’t know wont hurt them right???
