Well, that's his Vin...I ran a reverse plate search and it came up with the following:

Looking at the small pictures @HemiDart posted, hard to tell, but it does look like all he has is a photocopy of the title.....it would actually say "DUPLICATE TITLE' if it were a duplicate.....
I think his friend royally F^%Ked him.....
If no money has change hands, then no crime has occurred. If he paid and has proof, now we have a deal. It's real easy to get copies of titles. The cell phone is registered to a woman. She lives with 4 others (3 guys) and lives in LA. She has two living addresses.. Hmmmmmmmmm.. Sounds fishy to me.. What do you think?

Just confirmation money has been transacted for the property, he has the bill of sale now show the deposit slip for cash deal. Any check 10k or higher requires a 3 - 7 day grace period to confirm funds. This is one shady dude. He wants cash only. Ha.. Also gets reported to Feds..
