Contact the police. They will have a record of the police report, (if there really is one) Who is the insurance carrier? contact them also. How much heroin can you get for one of these bikes?

He would be correct.. Insurance company's are able to get copies of police reports. But if you call the police station they will be able to verify it was stolen.. If it was stolen the officer would of entered the vin and plate into ncic system.. With that system if you ran either it would come back stolen..the person you bought it from should have an incident number generated by the police department. As a civilian you can't get a copy of an official police report. Sounds like someone is pulling something here. I'm in law enforcement .. And soon as I have info on the vehicle it must be entered in that system and that's country wide not just state... Do you know the license plate number?

His (craigslist seller) cell phone number comes back to the LAPD West Wilshire jurisdiction. The apgtowing company is the jurisdiction of the Cypress Police department. Hopefully you had the proof of insurance and after reporting it stolen call them. I PM'd you all the information.
