Should I get the 06 Ridgeback or a 08 Rocker by HD.

I am trying to figure if i would like the ride of a 06 ridge back or a 08 HD Rocker. I am kinda new rider. I love the look of the big dog. You only live once, i am only 22. But the big dog i am looking at is 22K. The bike is in great shape and looks awesome. The problem is everyone who rides alot says go with the HD. They say the ride is alot better, and not many problems with there bikes? Please Help..

First....Welcome to a great site:up:
now what you need to do is take both bikes for a ride...and see what one YOU like! remember....you have to go with what you want.....not what everyone else says! Me....I would look into a few more different types of Dogs and then choose which one best fits you.....just my :zz2cents: Oh..and believe me...you will get more attention on the Dog!!

don't know....never rode one.....I ride a K-9.....thats why you should take the Ridge for a ride and see if you like that or not....

You are comparing a hard tail custom to a softail harley. You can pick up a way better deal than that on a rigid big dog in my opinion. What kind of riding are you going to do?

I have had a 2004 and a 2005 Ridgeback, and for a ridged, they ride and handle awesome. My friend and I swapped bikes, he has a Ironhorse Texas Chopper softail. He could not believe how well my bike rode and he has back issues! Ride them both, you'll be surprised.

The bike is a great looking bike, My parents are wanting me to get the HD. They think that after awhile that i am going to get tired of the bike. Do big dog bikes, have a good resale value.

Most of us started out on a Harley, many of us still have a Harley.
Me?, I have had my Big Dog for a year and a half, ride up to about 550 miles a day, and have not rode the Harley one time since getting the Dog. No reason to. I love everything about the Dog.

I have never rode the jard tail, but have rode with others in a group ride and they have no issues. The Big Dog Hard Tails ride very well.

How do the the Dogs compare to a Harley? You are going to have to test ride both and make up your own mind.

Ride them both. I have an 05 ridgeback--was my first ridged. Was nervous about that until I took it for a spin. After I did, I was SOLD. Got my ridgeback the very next business day.
