Ride

I have a 2005 chopper and BDMridgeback let me ride his Ridgeback and he took my chopper... The ridgeback road great just like the chopper only just a little more tighter ride... I'm not sure I would not get a Ridgeback next time.

That's probably not a bad way to put it, Tdhspringer. When I rode my buddy's 2006 Ridgeback, it was not just that the frame was stiff - the whole ride had a different feel - and "tighter" is a good word that sums it up. The big front shocks, coupled with the fat rear tire, provide a lot of good suspension. One of the biggest differences I noticed was at 70 mph on the freeway, if you hit a little depression or bump it would tend to leap more than my K-9. After that ride, my friend told me he watches ahead for the dark patches on the freeway, where cars tend to drop oil spots, so he knows when to be ready. Bottom line - I would have no problem at all riding a Ridgeback.

I will throw my 5 cents in here also. I have a 05 Mastiff and in someway like the Rocker, it was a frist year project. So there was some problems, but nothing major. It has never failed me and as far as reliability goes, I have over 15k on it now (would have many more but tend to play in sandboxes for months at a time).

I have had HD before and enjoyed them all, but like many other bikes, I had issues with them also. LEARN TO WRENCH YOU OWN is good advice.

Since I have my BD, I have loved it and do admit it gets more looks than any other bike I have owned. That said buy it for yoursefl and not what others thing, but do enjoy the side benefits if you get a BD.

If you go with the Ridgeback, do the maintenance, do not abuse the crap out of it, and most important ride it every chance you get.

On videos, there is some in the Galley as already pointed out and here is a link to one of mine. If you get yours be it a BD or HD, you are more than welcome to come join us for some riding for the NE and SE boys tend to get together a few times a year.

I saw a Rocker in person yesterday. Guy pulls up on the side of me. I look down and politely say, nice bike. He spouts off, yea, 1st one in Charlotte! I'm thinking to myself, and hopefully the last but keep my mouth shut. It's not as ugly in person without the passanger seat on but I still don't know what HD was thinking.....The 240 tire is nice and the fender sit's nice and low on the tire but.....that gap between the fender and seat is just killing it....
