Shocks ?

I have a 2000 big dog husky was wondering what the best shocks are to use and I’m a pretty big guy lots of weight the ones I have on it now seem to bottom out pretty easy thanks in advance.

I believe your frame is a standard softail. You can go with the Progressive 422, get the Heave Duty version. Make sure you get the 422-4001C. They have the eyelets on both sides of the shock. Not sure what shocks they used on that older model but you should also get a new bolt and washer kit.

This is the undercarriage. I’m in contact with Curt from Wildsteed now. I think he will get me lined out.

I know that bolt has been addressed a couple times. Don't remember what the fix was. I'll try to find the thread on that. I'm sure Curtis will know too

Update.......I talked with Curtis and the remedy is, 1 go with the slim bodied shocks. Direct fit. 2. Remove the transmission stud and replace it with a flat socket head cap screw. He mentioned using a heli coil but I found a 7/16-14 bolt that will be perfect. Also, you need to bevel the metal tab to allow the bolt to countersink and flush mount allowing enough room for the shock to mount. I chose option 2. In the process of beveling the steel to allow for the flush mount.
