now, with you having her 42% of the time, does this mean that your ex gets to claim her as a deduction instead of you???

I have many friends who have gone through the D, I told my wife I will NEVER divorce her, I will just kill her, do the time and be done, If not I would have to deal with her the rest of my life. Fortunately I still love her after 18yrs

RV's are a money pit they are definatly nice however I have never seen someone buy one and use it as much as they thought they would.....

Ya know...I actually use mine more than I thought I would. You can never justify the cost per night of an RV. It is cheaper to stay in a really nice hotel. But the memories are not the same in a Hampton Inn compared to The Buffalo Chip in Sturgis, Oshkosh EAA Fly-In, R/C events with friends, tailgating/Camping at a college game, etc. I use it from the end of April to the end of October when I winterize it. I use it around 40 nights a season. I have already used it 10 nights and will have another 3 this weekend.

I bought my toy hauler new in 2006 (2007 Model). I am getting ready to sell it but only to buy another one. I want to go with a Class C this time. My parents got a new Nexus Class C last year and it is really nice. I guess Rving runs in the family - they have had one since I was born.

Bought my first RV in 1987. I'm on my third one now. I've always bought Travel Trailers, but my brother is a Motorhome guy. He's on his second one now. Seems Motorhomes take the biggest beating when it comes to resale. My brother bought a 40' Discovery for $75,000.oo The original owner paid $220,000.oo. As with any thing, if you use it, its worth it to me. We've followed each other all over the country. The memories are priceless

For all of those guys out there thinking about divorce, remember. "It's cheaper to keep her"! Not to mention if you have kids together she will be in your life forever in one way or another.

I love RV's. I have owned a motorhome continously since 1999. I am on my fourth one.
They are expensive to purchase, own, operate, and maintain. To me, it is just another toy and a terrible investment. Worth it!

I bought a 31 TT when I came back from Iraq in 09 and went to work a project up in Aberdeen. Since the house was a 120 mile commute each way, I was able to use the R/V at a nice Campground up in Amish county for the weekday and then commute back home on weekend.

With the deduction and what not, it was a good deal for me and well worth the cost. Since then I have it in storage and have used it about 5 time for family camping and trips.

Must say all have been much more fun than the hotel stays and more relaxing. Overall I do not expect to make any money off it, will have it for a very long time and no complaints. For going to other location for construction porjects, perfect and the way to go.

Very happy and if I am every put out in the dog house, well it has a nice shower, with kitchen, super slider and comfortable bed.
