When I start the BD I have to leave the enrichment lever up just a little bit to keep the BD from coughing and popping out the carb. Don't matter how warm the BD is. If I close the enrichment all the way I can't even take off. It hesitates and just kind of putts. Now the way I see it is running lean? Above 2000 rpms it runs great. Now I don't know what # jets I have yet. I have not dropped the bottom of the bowl. I guess I just want a second opinion on do you think its a lean mixture at low speeds. The plugs that were in the BD were pretty black. I installed new ones for the up coming riding season. I have not taken them out to look at them yet. One more thing I bought the BD from Texas. I had it shipped to Ohio. Do you thing that could be part of the problem also? Today was the first day I really was able to put any miles on it. The weather has been bad. So what should I do first? Thanks for any and all info provided. And other than that the BD runs great!
