Running with the Enrichment On

Throttle Jockey

Don't Look at my Member!
I dont see how you can run the throttle with your right hand and pull up on the enrichener with your left hand and ride it away. Do you mean you are going to the half way notch with the enrichener?

Before I take off I have the enricher up just a bit. Then off I go! When I hit a red light or stop sign I "turn it off" so to speak and try riding again. The BD will run very well with it on a bit. Since I put high test in it seems better. I went and bought Sea Foam. will try that after a few tanks of gas. After that if it still acts up I will look into the jets. Thanks.

Ian, why do you have to manually push the comp release down? They should be automatic. And what BBC was correct. 2 twists of the throttle, then start, but never twist the throttle when the starter is endgaged. That's what will screw your starter up. Adding fuel while starting increases compression and is hell on a starter.
i hold it down so i can feel then it fires
let it roll over a couple of times then add gas [vruume]
just put a 320cca battery in from batterys + dam thing realy spins now
then it rolls over a couple of times befor cracking off, lets oil get in the bearings after not running for a week
once warm starting is done normaly

if you twist the throtle before starting the engine, you are still putting fuel in the cyl
