No Sul, I'm not saying you're wasting your money. You know as well as I do about bikes, what you like, may not be what I like, may not be what he likes, etc. But after having seen the carb last week, then going back Saturday after they had it on and tuned. I couldn't feel 700 bucks difference in it and the Mikuni. I obviously didn't ride the customers bike, but they did fire it up in the shop, and let me feel the throttle. I won't deny it had good throttle response, but no more than my softail with the 42 Mikuni.
I had my softail built at a shop in Pinellas Park called, Cycle-Rama. Anyone who lives in the area and rides can pretty much tell you a story about something they've built. The owners name is Wes Brown, and he's won just about every horsepower shootout there is. If the dealership Scott's dad owns is into speed like he say's, then they've heard of either Wes or Cycle-Rama, he's not just a local guy. They have a website nightrider.com, then got to the cycle-rama link in that site. You can even call and talk to him.
I have nothing to do with cycle-rama personally, other than being a happy customer. And I think you should do what YOU want because it's YOUR bike. I'm just offering my opinion having seen and felt the PSI. It's a work of art for sure, just not an extra 700 bucks pretty. I wanted the PSI from the first time I saw it, and I was disapointed to say the least.
And sorry Sul, I did type 46, I meant 45.
