No starter relay needed?

Jimmy, I would contact Axel direct. I also would ensure the circuit protection is in place for starter, VR, and EHC. I read in an earlier post where Dog owners sent EHC back to Axel and the problem was within the circuit protection on the bike. I do see resistors in the Axel's schematic, however, I think they are to control current on the enclosed PCB. (Not protection from other circuits) At this point, we have no idea what is inside of the GEN 1 RIP EHC. Therefore, I would be concerned how it would handle a power surge from a faulty circuit or flyback from solenoid. Just trying to close up loop holes that could lead to a burnt circuit or EHC.
He has the BigDog Motorcycles RIP kit not the Axle’s EHC pretty sure. The Axle 58 series EHC did have a flaw in the start up circuit but that has been corrected and the new ones he is producing are solid.

The 30A fuse for the VR is too low.
You have a Stator/vr combination that produces 32A max, a 30A fuse will blow too soon and you are robbing the charging system of power. I would use a 35A or 40A fuse.

On my first 2 k-9's I had installed the Compufire 40A system, so I use the 40A. Of course those bikes were both EFI (which does use a bit more power). Many people will say the 40A is overkill, but I like over kill.
Part of the original goal was to have some extra power for heated gear -- now I am old and don't ride when it that f'ing cold (also I moved south to avoid the cold.)
