ZNot only will it help keep the fuel clean but on like above allows you to see gas flow when troubleshooting like this.
Try putting the petcock into reserve and see if you get gas.

Yes to the filter before the carb. I have one in mind also. Keeps shit from getting to the carb.

So if I had gas on my spark plugs what would have been the problem?

Don't forget the fuel filter or you will be working overtime in the magical bike repair shop sir.

Assuming you had no other issues, if you had gas on the plugs, the bike would've started.

However, you would've never learned your newly acquired skills!

If your plugs were wet but still not starting, I would look @ the cam/crank sensor. Air fuel spark....bang. If ya have the 3 you should be in the wind. Electrical gremlins tend to like these bikes too. They can be a complete PIA to find. Glad ur running.

I was able to talk to the creator of the German EHC sold at Wild Steed Worx and Axle said the Big Dog harness is fine it's the components that need upgraded. Ever since I put this thing in I've never had a problem (see pic). Also put in the Thunderheart ignition module. Damn, now I have to go knock on wood....

That was the wise choice. I have one in the Pitbull. Never have to worry about it again.
