Thank youView attachment 115573
The Speedo circuit is only 12 vdc to each unit and a green wire from the sensor to the speedo. The EHC does not control it.

Yes 04 107 chopperI believe your bike was a 2004? If not then the diagram may be different.
Most likely the problem is under the tankOk new Dakota digital speedometer new speed sensor still no speedometer has power just doesn’t work !!! What’s plan 325 lol
YesDo you have a good meter yet?
Yes I got one I’ll get lucky and track my speedo problem down sooner or later lolDo you have a good meter yet?
I think it’s charging. I’m trying to trace down. Why I still don’t have a speedometer. There is power to it the lights light up. It’s a new Dakota digital and I also replaced the sensor. Just trying to find my problem.Small two wire module is the circut breaker from the VR. Not charging? There is a small black reset button on the side. The larger silver box is the Thunderheart ignition module.
OK I am wiring stupid. I just went and tried to push that button.I think it’s charging. I’m trying to trace down. Why I still don’t have a speedometer. There is power to it the lights light up. It’s a new Dakota digital and I also replaced the sensor. Just trying to find my problem.
Sorry, I dropped my phone and push post. The button feels like it’s spring loaded. No click no nothing just put it in. It comes out maybe that’s normal with my voltmeter on the red wire and the ground on the black. There’s nothing when I start it and do that it says -.01.OK I am wiring stupid. 12 volts between red and black wires. You can take apart the connector and use a small paper clip or needle to stick in it. If no volts between them check the red wire with the red lead on the meter and the black lead of meter to the negative of the battery. If you get close to 12 volts now, this says you have a bad ground.Ok it’s hard for me to do the volt test thing when I don’t know what goes where lol.. so what voltage should I find touching the black and red wires on this thing running and not running there is nothing unless I ground it somewhere else besides the black wire is that normal?? And what is this other silver thing?
Yeah, I know it’s probably something simple I have just overlooked 100 times. I’ll find it sooner or later. But if the worst issue I ever have with this thing is no speedometer. I’m probably doing good other than I’d like to know how far I went on a tank of fuel before I say oops that was too far. Thanks
Yes the wiring looks in good shape. Yes the EHC has been replaced with a good one. The same one I have. Keep referring to the pint I posted. You will figure it out, take your time.
