We do use assembly lube when our engines are put together but that is probably not what the milky look is. That is probably from moisture due to short trips or starting and shutting off with out getting the engine totally warmed up.

Hello, I've taken delivery of my new 2008 BigDog with the S&S 117" motor. I noticed the oil in the tank looked "milky", I was told that S&S puts break-in additives in the oil, and it's supposed to stay in for 500 miles. Is this true?
This just in from the good people at S&S !!! I'm a thinkn' I'm changing my oil.
