Knotso and I have been stopped by the State Patrol here and they never said anything about the vertical plate. But someother cop might be different I guess!Hell in Washington state you have to have the tag light horizontal, you get a ticket if it is vertical. You just can't have anything cool:loony:

I have no choice, if i mount it vertical or horicontal, it looks all the same.
Geeze Man! They might as well make you hang a damn BILLBOARD on your bike!:bang:I have no choice, if i mount it vertical or horicontal, it looks all the same.

Good way to trash a pretty bike, lol. I know you have no choice so I won't bust your chops about it.I have no choice, if i mount it vertical or horicontal, it looks all the same.
The way I understand the new law and from friends who have been warned here it's a $1000 fine first time offense. Just not worth itWhile we're on the subject, what are the odds for getting a ticket in Daytona next week for a vertically mounted tag? I've been to Daytona Bikeweek 4 times with this setup and I've had no problem but have been seeing alot of articles & post on plate position lately. . . . . . . . . . . Paying a $1141 fine would kinda put a damper on my trip.

As long as your plate is mounted in accordance with your state's regulations, Florida can not ticket you.:up:While we're on the subject, what are the odds for getting a ticket in Daytona next week for a vertically mounted tag? That's what I thought. And so many aftermarket tag mounts are vertical so they must be legal most places. As long as your plate is mounted in accordance with your state's regulations, Florida can not ticket you.
