K9 Saddle bags

Goes to show you...to each their own.

I like the plate relocate and if they come out with bags for the K-9, I would be more apt to move from my current bike to a BD.

Personally, I would rather the plate stayed where it is as long as it is visible under the bags. Wouldn't want a ticket...
I REALLY liked the shape of the bags, and they appear to blend as well as can be expected. If the mounts are hidden, or not too obtrusive, or removeable, I'd get a set in a heartbeat. :2thumbs:

I can see the utility of the bags but dang, how much wider will they make the back of the bike????

I rather see the sissybar bags on chopper style bikes (and certain pro-streets:D )
No shit, brings a new meening to "does this bike make my ass look big?".

Hard Bags

I've been working on some prototypes for some time now, for me. Not anywhere near finished. I've been requested by a few people to custom produce in small quantities. Still thinking about it. If so: Planning on "plain" versions(No Design), Custom Designs ? , Carbon Fiber covered: Natural:("Charcoal") and Colored:(Color match determined by customer) Raw:F-glass (You cover), Gel cote: Paint grade (You Paint to match) Frame Rail: Chrome w or w/o small spikes. Tag Mount:"Recessed" (Re-use existing) Rear Lights: "Half-Recessed" (Re-use existing") Lockable, Weather Tight
Let's see if I can upload these pics. ( Pictured are just the "Plugs" used to make the actual molds later on) Let me know what you think  or  I'm very curious as to others thoughts. Sorry, Don't mean to steel the thread, but stupid (me) can't figure out how to move it! Sorry LDO, I must be to stupid to figure out how to post them resized larger!

Dead one
:2thumbs: I like it but I would extend the rear tire fender to the bottom of the bags

my .02 cents

I think they go GREAT with the WINDSHIELD!

Seriously, I think they look fine for carrying stuff on a trip, except I'm not too keen on the license plate location. I presume they had to move it to make the plate visible enough - unfortunately, it sorta ruins the trademark part of the bike - that clean, big-ass rear tire.

The bags are probably easy enough to remove - but I bet the license frame stays where it is, and that would look even more goofy with the bags off - we'll see.

Still, it looks like some pretty usable volume in those bags. Problem is they'd ALWAYS be full of Mrs. P8RIOT's stuff - it just naturally expands to fill any space available.

I just called Ryan to see what they cost. He said they have a wholesale estimate, but not a suggested retail, so he wouldn't give me a number. He also said they have 3 or 4 on order already, so someone's buying 'em.

I wish I had more money.
Ryan at Gateway?

:loony:

Please -- the woman is stick thin and wears bikinis all the time (we've all seen the calendars)...confess, you need bags that big for your electronic toys, 27 tee shirts and your "Ensure" and "Geritol."
