I'm really starting to like the HHI switches and hand controls. Does anyone have them or know if they are good quality?

Don't want to piss ya off but there is no need for all those relays. All you need is 1 starter relay with power going to 2 circuit breakers. That setup is too much overkill.
Try as you might, your not going to piss me off Bill. All them relays serve a purpose, there is no power going through any of my switches. All my switches do is ground relays.

I like them....except for fact that the front brake doesn't have a connection for the brake light
You could easily install a pressure switch, just like the rear switch, and put the line in a braided sleeve so it looks clean running along the brake line up to the handlebars and then branch off under the tank with the rest of the wires. Then just run it to the brake light connection.

Sorry Pyloo, I don't know how I ended up high jacking your thread. I still think what the Kaptin has will be your best option. But here is my wiring diagram. Mainly posting it for Bill's benefit.

All you are doing is emulating the EHC..... That is not "old school" wiring.

Oh shit "it's not old school wiring" here come the villagers with their pitch forks and shit run for da hills..........:lol::lol::lol::lol:

Well I guess I did have the original wiring schematic out when I was thinking this up. This is nothing, you should see the wiring diagram for my vw. I guess I just over think most things. It's my curse in life.

It's ok guys. I know it's not "Old School Wiring" but y'all knew what I was talking about. That's my goal is to elimate the EHC and PCB. I don't wanna put a plug and play unit in and one of my PCB go. Then I'll be not riding again this year.

I found out that HHI does have high quality controls. That is the route I will be going. Thanks for y'all input.

My bike is "old school wired"

I have a the inline pressure switch for the rear brake... (no light on front brake)
No turn signals.
No On off switch (key has 4 positions: accessory position, OFF, Run, Momentary start)
No Bright on head light, its just always on (low beam I assume)
I have no speedo, oil light, neutral light either.

so I have nothing to do but turn key and start it and ride it, and turn key off to stop... ha

This was not my choice, it was done before I got it, and I planed to add bright, and turns back but I really see no need after a year of riding it.. I like it basic.

Makes for clean bars though.

I am very interested in this key switch. It sounds like the kind I want.

Could you post some pics of the switch?

Where is it mounted? Do you have any other information on it? Does it have any numbers on it?

It sounds just like a standard auto switch. You could get a small one from a riding lawn tractor but you would have to rewire the bike with a starter relay.

I have one in my "rewire" kit that came from a ford tractor. Got it at Tractor supply for $12. You can put it in the same location but you have to grind out some if the casing on the mount and move the coil down if you have a stock coil. I put on a Gothic bracket and dual coils so the switch will go right in.
