The predictions have the harder hit areas nearly done by the end of April, and places not as hard hit, like Texas, being done by the end of May. Arkansas apparently has had virtually no COVID19 compared to harder hit areas.

I guess the Governor wants to keep it that way. :)

The model I saw for Arkansas didn't have much of a curve, so it's apparently hard to predict when the infection is this low......which is a very nice problem to have.

But this will not last until there's a cure or vaccine. Spanish flu passed over a 100 years ago, with no modern tech at all, so we'll get through this too.

My daughter is on quite a few med. chat sites. Drs n nurses saying most hospitals are laying off or furloughing people as they have no patients? Either we being fed a line of shit or all these medical people across the country are lying? Hell Dave, I'll pack a tent if you still wanna ride?
Hospitals in Finland are practically empty too. Just talked with a Doc, he said he has nothing to do. people took the warning not to exhaust the health care system with minor problems bit too seriously..

It is a very overwhelming time and we need to look out for everyone’s wellness for sure. I know that I would be devastated if someone caught something while here or on the road to get here or just took the virus home to extended family.
You all are like family to me and some are closer than blood relatives.and I would like nothing more in the world than to have you all here to celebrate and enjoy life.
But on the other hand , I’ve traveled alot over the years to attend funerals of past members here and have traveled to hospitals to see some real survivors of very close calls and I’d like to not have to do either one again for along time.
As I am typing this I just got a text that all parks and camping areas are closed until June 1 And are expecting to worsen. A post office employee and a firefighter tested positive yesterday in town here..
I have the same instinct feeling as Shannon that we should wait and see and plan as we go along .

Dave sounds like a plan, and I agree with you. I would rather live to see everyone more often, than just the one time.

Just my $.02 worth. I feel when they open all the states and allow everyone to go back to work, 3 weeks later your gonna see another huge spike. This is going to take a while to get this virus under control.

Couple weeks ago we did a run with a picnic lunch - Everyone packed their lunch, stopped at a county park that had picnic tables -- social distanced at tables -- I was the only one with a HOT lunch! Took the small backpacking stove, some frozen roast beef in gravy some beans rol and cheese. The roast beef and beans were in vacuum freezer bags. Put some water in the stove and couple minutes later I've got nice hot lunch -- Chopper guy gets creative baggers are eating cold!
I ♡ picnics!!!

The sad part about going for a ride is there is no where to get a beer and sandwich. Makes you just do small rides and go back home earlier with no stops except for gas.
Well if you had a T-bag. You could load up a small cooler with a few beer and a couple of sandwiches you make at home. That’s what we do at Sturgis. Find a spot and me and Colleen have a pic nic.

I've got a small fork bag from Road Ready that is insulated that would hold a sandwich and a drink or two and keep it pretty well chilled, especially if you added ice.
