My other scoots are a sporty and a Buell, so the Mastiff is my bagger and having owned and rode it for 6 years, I still do not look at other scoots, no wait, that is not true, I still want and drool over the Ridgebacks, but that would be a daily rider and the Mastiff will always be the bagger bike for me.

When outfitted correctly, the choppers make awesome baggers and these bikes are still fun to ride, mas opposed to just riding.

Those are my thoughts:cheers:

Dude, I understand where your coming from. I now have 3 scoots and it's not enough. I guess lucky for me I have a strong willed wife to keep me somewhat in check.
Do what fits your family needs, don't listen to everyone's viewpoint, they're like assholes they all stink.
DUDE, we were asked for our viewpoints, so it looks like yours is the one that reeks:roll:

Eric, maybe you could rent one for say a week, park it next to the dog at night and by the end of the week see which one you have more of a taste for,i know you said you had one in the past so it seems like it may be a phase you need to get out of your system, than you could return it and treat the dog like a new puppy,,just a thought

I'm in the same boat as most on here. I own both like others! I'm not much into the bagger scene, but my want to be bagger is the Harley. All I can say is, if I put both on show, the dog for sure takes the cake and is the magnet that draws all the attention.

Keep the dog and buy a dresser...I own a Victory XC..love the bike however it does not have the refinement and finish of the big dog.

I take my XC up to the local watering hole every once and a while and it gets lost in a sea of other Harley Road Kings/ Street Glides and Victory Cross Countries.

When I took the Mastiff up last week, holy crap! I needed a bug zapper to keep people away from the bike. I pulled in and one would have thought I was a blond with big tits because all eyes turned and would not leave the bike the entire time.

You need variety. When I bought my Ridgeback, my wife cut me off since we have 5 bikes in the family. When I told my co-workers, they offered a solution. Buy her another bike next time.:D

My bikes include a sports bike, cruiser, and BD. Each bike has it's purpose and you will need both.:)

Wow, thanks guys! You know back in the day had I posted this question on clubchopper I would have been threatened by a 'true 1%' that I would be lit on fire along with my 'fake chopper'.

I don't even think the guys over there like themselves let alone a Big Dog.

I've been thinking along the lines of another myself get two....:2thumbs:

Its great to have two bikes. Since I finished my Chopper I seldom ride the Road King.
I've only had it out twice , once it was raining and the other was a 200 mile ride that I need to take an over night bag.
It sucks that you would have to part with the Chopper to buy a bagger. I'm shure
cost has alot to do with it. There are some great deals out there for used Harleys
with low miles. It might be a strech but see if its in the budget to by used or
pick up a rebuildable salvage Dresser to fill the need of another bike.

Yeah, the 2 bikes idea would be much more wise.
Ironically the money aspect is not a part of it. And let's face it, an '03 Chopp just doesn't bring much- $12K if I'm real lucky.
It's just a matter of having 3 quads, off road golf cart, RV, sports car, lifted truck, trailer, 2 lawn tractors, and Chopper all in my garages that has my wife telling me that I do NOT need yet another toy. :D

Sounds reasonable to me. At least you aren't doing things of which your wife really wouldn't approve.

Try to have both if you can. I own a GIXXER 1000 and a 2007 Chopper. The Chopper is broke more than I ride it and I still love it. The GIXXER is fun to ride but hurts like hell on the knees. Plus I'm 6'2" and 300lbs and in my 40's. Want some attention when out on your bike? Try pulling into a bikers joint on that!!LOL!!! But I do know where your coming from. I thought about it too. Wife is pissed about all the time and money this nightmare has cost. It would be fine if I could at least ride it more. I have kids as well and taught one son (24) to ride on a NINJA 500 and would love for him to buy the GIXXER at a good price but mom won't allow it. Death sentence!!! Then put the money towards another bike. Just hate to see my toys go. I still have a 1988 Mitsubishi Mighty Max from when I was in the Marines I bought new off the showroom floor. LOL!! Every time I ride with other Harley owners they try to talk me into selling my Chopper and buy a Harley. Then I respond, "Then I will just blend in." Why you Jealous?

you need an off road golf cart??? maybe some golf lessons would help that way you dont have to go looking for the balls? then you can sell the cart...:D
