Hey all I started replacing my WP harness with the rip kit everything went fairly smooth except for the connectors that were missing from the previous kit install. The wire plus kit had a 3 position switch installed and the rip kit is set for a 2 position switch, so I only used 2 positions should work right? Well all my lights work when I switch it on but it won't start and the thunder heart mod will not cycle or come on like it used to and suggestions?

The on the original harness there is 2 connectors that come from each motor head I assuming they are compression release but not positive. Those were missing along with the start switch connection coming from the thunder heart.

I pretty sure the only thing I did different was only use 2 positions on the start switch. All my lights work as they should but the thunder heart light doesn't cycle and when I hit the start button I get nothing.

Ok gonna charge the battery a little bit while I do all the running around with my wife on the Mother's Day. Any suggestions to help me out with this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers out there have a safe and wonderful day!!

Every connector that was missing I went wire for wire butt connectors and heat shrink.

Franco how did you get the pictures to blow up?

Where would the power for the mod come from? Could I possibly have a wire at the ignition in the wrong place? Wrong wire to coil?

Can anyone tell me why the right hand control has a 6 pin connector and the rip kit has a 5 pin?
I thought it was "plug and play"? You should have a 6 pin connector for the right control and a 5 pin connector for the left...

Sure you don't have them reversed?

Ok my problem is my right hand controls of course I have 1 hot wire orange when I press the buttons I'm not getting anything but if take the controls and jump hot wire to any other wire I get blinker on one, run switch my module light comes on and the engine turns over and before this kit I didn't need the run button so the module came on as soon as I turned the bike on. So now my concern is why are my buttons not completing the circuit?

Dennis it is a plug and play kit only if it has not been butcher by someone with the wire plus kit. It has caused a problem but that's not the cause behind my problem.

The right hand is a 5 pin from the rip kit and a 6 pin and the only thing I can come up with is the off switch is and will be inoperable as the run will now be the toggle for the run/off.

That's right they lost one wire due to how the TH module functions with the high/low for the headlight. Its still an 8 pin connector but with 4 wires in it. Same with the right hand control. Its an 8 pin connector but there are 5 wires in it. As you said it is the Off circuit that was deleted from the rip kit

Have you looked inside the connectors and made sure all the pins match up to each other
