White, black/red, orange/white, red/yellow x2 from the rip kit and orange,black, green, blue, brown, red going to this witch with orange hot
 
The 04 Electrical Schematic shows the Orange as the brake light circuit.
Red is supposed to be the run circuit so that is likely why it is not working

I was looking at the schematic and it says that the orange wire is PWR so it should be correct. Am I right?

That clip isn't in all the way...you probably know that but just sayin, mine has slipped out before...

Those plastic tabs break easy and I mine has slipped out many times when I went to reasseamble the hand control.

Did you try plugging it in and starting the bike without stuffing it back in the hand control? So you can ensure it is indeed connected.
 
What schematic are you looking at
The schematic I have shows the orange wire as the brake light. If were talking about the right hand control pin outs at the connection under the tank.
 
If you are equating it to the Red 12 volt line you see running across it that is incorrect as all the lines coming from the hand controls are only ground signals. In the case of the KMW RIP KIT it has a momentary switch module built into it that takes those signals from the hand control and converts them.

You've lost me. Where are you seeing it indicate its a power wire?
On the '03 wiring diagram Bryan's been using it shows the orange to be power to the controls!

Looks like there's some bass-ackwards wiring done that's going to need corrected!!! :bang:

Hope the EHC RIP survived!!!.... :eek:

Ok I just got off the phone with Kansas motorcycle works, great guys btw he says I have power on the wrong wire same thing we were talking about kaptinamerika I should have power on the black wire not the orange. So you were correct also.

The front 8 pin connector is replaced with the less wires cause of the Thunderheart module. Remember you will have to just hit the run button twice to activate and start the bike.
