Yup - bad - if the carb needle valve sticks or leaks, you'll have gas all over the floor.I never turn my fuel off - is that bad?
I find it much easier to do that with my left foot.......reach down with my left hand and set the kickstand......
Me too. Learned to do that after nearly dropping it on an 'in gear' start. In front of chicks, no less.:zwhistle:But I ALWAYS look for that little green light before starting.
you are asking for trouble there in my opinion...I find it much easier to do that with my left foot.![]()
I do my "mantra" ... pop into neutral, kill the engine, reach down with my left hand and set the kickstand, and then flip off the fuel before getting off the bike.
and you're right P8RIOT .... it DID remind me a couple of times that I left the fuel off. :bang:

I'm curious why....... I find it far easier to use my foot than to reach down. I just tried it in the garage, felt really awkward to me.you are asking for trouble there in my opinion...
I'm 5'9", and I use my foot. I'm afraid I'd drop it if I did otherwise. Is it the taller riders reaching down with hands and the height challenged using their feet I wonder?
Say:
6' + using hands
5' 11" - using feet
