I never turn my fuel off - is that bad?
Yup - bad - if the carb needle valve sticks or leaks, you'll have gas all over the floor.

If you forget to turn it back on, the Dawg will remind you - after two or three times, you'll remember. :D

Just form the habit.

OK you have given me a fricken headache on this shit. If I think my bike will move it getz put in gear. And if I am too drunk to put it back in neutral, …when I feel the bam when I hit the starter I know I had too much too drink so I recover and get mt chit together and ride home with some sensibility. (only burn out every other light)!!  :2thumbs:

I especially have to remeber to keep it in neutral cause I wired the key straight to the starter - no ehc - wait - push to start B.S. - Key now is like a car, turn and go. Also went to a tiny Dakota speedo and the neutral light is the letter "N" about 1/32 of an inch tall which is totally useless - can't see it even if I looked for it -

Fuel always off - Just a habit

I do my "mantra" ... pop into neutral, kill the engine, reach down with my left hand and set the kickstand, and then flip off the fuel before getting off the bike.

and you're right P8RIOT .... it DID remind me a couple of times that I left the fuel off. :bang:

I leave mine in neutral most of the time but do leave in first to keep from rolling when needed
. But I ALWAYS look for that little green light before starting.

Is it the taller riders reaching down with hands and the height challenged using their feet I wonder?

Say:
6' + using hands
5' 11" - using feet
