clutch issue, need assistance

y'all are awesome. thanks!
Np, also your going to need a way to lock up the sprockets when torquing them down. Many options there.
Jim’s makes a fly swatter
I have used wood wrapped in tape that I fit on the front to the rear pulley, I have even used rags between the pulley and chain.
Just need something to stop the pulleys from rotating that won’t break any teeth on the sprockets.

I actually have that same lift. but it looks like the BD is too low for it
Pull the back tire over a 2x8 or 10 to lift it high enough to get the jack under it, and use a piece of 2x4 under the kickstand, get off the bike and sit it up straight while you slide the jack under it.

So i was overtaking a vehicle a couple weeks ago and when i shifted into 4th gear I lost all forward momentum. The motor was just revving. There was no tension on the clutch cable. Clutch lever just moved freely. I have since removed the clutch cable thinking I popped the cable, but the cable is fine. The clutch push rod looks to be undamaged to me. Where the cable connects in the housing there was no damage. I'm not a motorcycle mechanic and i just bought this motorcycle. I've literally rode less than 2 hours on this motorcycle. Once i got to the side of the road the bike still rolled as if in neutral. Any advice on what the problem is and how to fix I'd appreciate guys.

had something similiar and fixed myself. its not terribly difficult if its the hub nut. Instructional starts at post #53.

This picture is a few years old. I'm thinking about cutting a rectangle in the concret so i won,t have to use the ramp. I saw a picture of one and it looked pretty cool:)

You should've rotated the back tire while pulling the belt toward you and it walks right off the front pulley no matter how tight it is.
Not to mention rear tire doesn't need to be removed just loosen it and back the adjusters off a tad and all set.

Or raise the rear tire up with a Jack to compress the shocks and move the swing arm would have moved it enough to slip it.

Either option woulda been easier. But hey you learned for next time..lol
