Brand New BDM Bagger

Viking

Biker
Went to the BDM factory today and got all the parts needed to get the bike up and running again. Learned a ton, got some new friends, and picket up a few must haves while there. Now I just have to find some time to get it all done. Life is good...

No. And after talking to the dealer I find out he just replaced the battery. I guess I kicked my own butt. Oh well, I'll try the reset as suggested by jwooky above. I'm certain it's a computer issue as it happened after the battery swap, with exception of the first mile where it ran just fine. I also contacted BDM but was rather disappointed with their reply. They sure have work to do with their customer service.
I guess a little visit goes a long way, :old2:glad ya got the parts and hopefully you'll be on the road soon:whoop::chopper:

Long way is an understatement. Great guys to deal with. They are helping all they can to keep the current dogs running and is putting a wealth of resources into it. I also learned that there was only 67 Baggers that ever left the factory, and another three was in progress and never finished. One more is being built now and it was fun to give my input on the build. It will be a showstopper for sure. I can only hope that they will succeed, as there is no shortage of willpower on their end. One of the very helpful things Chris was working on was to change the exploded parts view list. The proprietary BDM parts will be as is, but every screw, o ring, electrical connector, hose, etc etc etc will now have its dimensions added to the list. So you and I can simply order it online or go to the nearest hardware store and get the parts needed for whatever.... So yes, my bike will be on the road again shortly, and for a long long time to come.

Good perspective! That shares the same sentiment that everyone that visits the factory states. They are only so many people, patience is a virtue.

Glad to hear you had a great experience.

Up and onward

One of the old ones.
Ya know, when those guys saw this massive Viking with a severe threatening look in his face, they opted to serve..... LOL....
Look at the guys in this picture....the one on the left is Brandon, Engineer and master mechanic at BDM. This photo was taken last year when they were building Roger's 330 K9. I think he benches close to 450. And I don't mean Blacktopper, either! Haha Maybe I should have asked him to stand in front of the bike.....
So just how big a ol' boy, are ya, anyhow?image.jpeg
Seriously, I join those who support the job Matt and the guys (Brandon and Ohmster) are doing there. They have always been responsive to anything asked of them. Matt lives, eats, and breathes BDM. First would be the bikes he builds now, and second are the family he inherited when he resurrected Big Dog Motorcycles. There isn't one of us not welcome at his shop, and all are treated with respect and a friendly greeting.
But Kim, you already know that.....I look forward to riding with you on our new Baggers sometime this year.

I had the pleasure of meeting Matt last year at Bike Week. Stand up guy in every sense of the term. I know, because I bought him enough beers, he shouldn't have been standing anymore!

Good times at Broken Spoke! I told him then and I'll say it now, what ever I can do to help or support Big Dog Motorcycles I will do. Truely happy to own 2 Dogs and extremely grateful for all the friends I have met from being a Big Dog Biker!

* Except Ker. He is a giant Hemrhoid that lasers can't remove!!

Fear not, I went there to make friends, not to fight. And I did succeed, they were all great guys and gave me all sort of info, holding nothing back. As a matter of fact, I deeply regret not calling them first with the few issues I've had with my bikes so far, and know that I will from now on. They are a wealth of information and will bend over backwards to help you out. Our Baggers will be safe and repairable for a long time to come..... And if you ever go and check out their new leather jackets, you'll buy one. But you will get one that's red inside, since they sold me the prototype with the yellow liner you'll see on the pictures... They also have the repair kit for our fuel pump system for a better price than the lawnmower guys sells it for, and it includes all the hose clamps, o rings, and gaskets. I bought one and now my bagger will be running in no time as soon as I get a few minutes off at home.
