Bikers Taunt Policman

Energy One
I dunno... how is it different from a cop doing 100 to catch up to someone who's speeding at 80? Or from any other car chase where speeds get that high.
Ok I feel ya Bubba, so I'll through this out, the cop made a big ass driving mistake that very well could have cost him, and others there lives, risk vs. reward, and at the least I think the cop needs to be reprimanded internally & go back to cop driving school.

There may just be more to the story,,,,,,,,
according to multiple people claiming to be eyewitnesses, the trooper is full of sh**. (they posted in other threads and on the news sites comments section)

He was blocking traffic on the hwy (going slow in the fast lane kinda thing) and when bikes went to pass him, he cut them off multiple times.

A couple of the guys finally got pissed, dropped it a gear or three and grabbed a big handfull.

Johnny law then got what he was spoiling for... a chase. Of course since he can't drive worth sh**, he crashed trying to catch them.

Then all the other bikes that didnt run STOPPED TO HELP HIM.

The bikes that did run NEVER CAME BACK.

The cop is a liar, who is trying to cover his ass.

heres a link also Speeding motorcyclist taunts state trooper trapped in crashed car

Some things really don't add up..........??

This is one of two groups involved:
Seattle Ruff Ryders
[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FMf7lIyq604]YouTube - Seattle Ruff Ryders[/ame]

This happens around Kent/Federal Way on a regular basis
[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QcJ6drHpdzQ&feature=related]YouTube - Motorcycle Wheelie Poppers Take Over I-5-edit[/ame]

I have seen groups of around 50 completly fuk up a 10 mile section of hwy. They are very bold and use these bikes as blockers and the way I look at this is they are not bikers, but a bunch of punks who will soon become someones boy or bitch in prison.

In this case, they enter onto the fwy at speeds of 100mph and anyone expects the cop to not do his job? Untill the investigation is concluded, everything at this point is speculation and heresay.

I hope the cop recovers and those punks do hard time. Braking in front of a bike is attempted murder, so it should also be if these punks braked hard in front of a car causing an accident.

I'll give me 2 cents but with the economy it may only be worth 1! :bang: The road the Officer was chasing these bikes on appeared to be a long highway. Everyone has always heard the phrase "you can't out run a radio' which I believe in this incident is true. You can attempt to get a plate number from one or more of the bikes but if you can't then you stay at a distance which is reasonable and give out direction of travel and any other description you can. Allow other Officers to assist and take it from there. Time is always on the side of the Officer in an circumstances like this one.
I can personally say I have chased a sport bike once. It was in the City so the speed was low(40-50mph) and I was able to read the plate and give the information to the dispatcher so the owner of the bike and their address was known. At that point I was just following him. All the liability was on me and for a few tickets it is not worth being sued by someone not involved who gets hurt. Just my take.

this same thing goes on in down town atl.. I travel through there almost everyday in my service van.. thay come by me @ 100+ sometimes a wheelie sometimes high speed.. I know some of must be running 140+... I hope I never run over any of em but thay cut me off really close sometimes.. I mean it takes alittle bit to stop a 14K lb van doing 70mph..

I agree with morprblms. That cop could have killed an innocent bystander with that crazy bullshit. I hope he's OK, but man that guy was just plain stupid, but so were the bikers.

I've seen them on I-5 before and one was off his bike as if to be surfing on the pavement doing 65 or more MPH. Traffic had slowed because we didn't know if the guy was going to loose it. I was just waiting for him to be tripped up by an uneven chunk of concrete. It was the most stupid thing I've seen, besides doing wheelies at 70 MPH...

We are blaming the cop for doing the job we hired him to do and yet it was these "riders" who were breaking the law?

Cop is behing you, then you pull over. They kept riding at high speed.

Most every time I have been stopped by the law is was for something I did.
The law normally does not stop ppl for obeying the laws.

I don't hate police officers. I'm quite this opposite. I respect them, and I'm not afraid of seeing them in traffic. But everybody knows there are the rare jerkwad police officers that give them all a bad name. And for some reason I kind of think this is one of them. It doesn't make sense that anybody would do this... and it sounds like a great cover story for "I made a stupid" Maybe that isn't the case.. but it doesn't sound like either party was completely in the right... :argue:

Well went and read some of the posting on the link. Not being there, still very suspecious of what actually happen. The story only gives the officer account, however in some posting on some forum a supposed eye witness indicates that the trooper was blocking a group of bikers and when a couple went around him, then he gave chase.

Now there is always two sides to ever story, but the one side that is printed sounds very questionable. Especially reading an alleged eye witness account from a bike and then to see in the pictures numerous people with helments at the scene. I tend to think that maybe some of these people with helments stopped to check out the trooper after he wreck and possible may have been the only eye witness and the ones that were allegedly being block by the trooper.

Will be interesting to see what the final report is. Just find it interesting that a trooper wrecks and supposidly some idiots biker taunt them but in the picture there is a few bikers there and yet not one mention of an eye witness except on other forums and then that one indicates a different story, which to be frank seems more realistic than the officers.

Glad he is okay, but something still doesn't sound right.

Maybe a helmet cam video will show up, but then again maybe if such exist and they were in Maryland they do not want to risk a felony for ilegal wire tapping say of a man jump out with a gun in a unmarked car and not identifying themselve until at least 5 seconds.!!!!

I will have to say that I have never been pulled over or even had a speeding ticket. I do beleave that most officers are out to serve the public and do a very good job.

I am not blaming the officer for I do not know what really happened, but I do suspect the full story is not being told, and as I mentioned earlier, due to the action of a few LEO, can no longer (like a I was when a kid back in the 60's) say that a Uniform Officer is always the good guy. Too many bad ones have made me always take a hard look at questionable actions by LEO or anyone else. Sad but true.

To all the many fine officers, active and former on here, my apologies to all if I come off not automatically trusting everyone that puts a unifrom on, for unfortunately too many have put one on and are worse than some of the people that they are supposed to protect the public from.

Let me be the first to say how much I dislike cops, but lets all be honest here...both parties are pretty much to blame...come on! The bikes fuc%%% up and were trying to get away...the cop was doing his job, but had enough of there bullshit running and wanted to try to catch them to prove a point at whatever cost. Oh well, fortunately no one got seriously hurt.
