2005 pitbull.
Maybe you should think about getting a slam button for the starter. Could be your switch is bad. I know a guy with a ‘06 Chopper and he had that same problem. We switched out his boards and it took care of the issue. Slam button is a option though

Just a thought, but while ya have the cover off the solenoid, how do the contacts and disc look? I put a slammer on my pit, "just in case", and while the cover was off I gave all the contacts a good cleaning. Haven't had to use the button yet.

Good luck finding someone in New Mexico. I’m from Roswell NM they’re right your better off starting to wrench yourself. For ever I was paying “mechanics” to fuck up my bike. With this forum and a lot of help from a lot of different members on here I’m starting to feel confident and can take care of a lot of issues. Don’t get me wrong I still fuck shit up but so we’re the so called mechanics.

my concern is what I don’t know. Got some guidance on what to do or avoid. Anyone have the tool I can borrow Or rent? I need a new rubber boot as well. Will talk to Eric. I am not a mechanic but learning.

In GA RRRUFF is the best

In GA RRRUFF is the best. He is the only person I
would trust to work on my bike.
I see this post is over 10 years old which is why I can't seem to find RRRUFF in GA. Any chance they're still in business? If so, can you share their contact info. Thanks.
