Battery Cover Upgrade

Energy One

The two plastic covers over the battery an miscellaneous electronics has never done it for me.

Has anyone out there in big dog land modified or replaced them?

Just cutting them is not going to improve the look. Ideas?

Thanks, Cor.

The most I've seen done to them is painting them to match the graphics.
What are you thinking to do? :D

Yeah, that would be cool. I am thinking of taking night welding classes or machining/fab type classes to do this myself.

Is it just mine that keep cracking and splitting ? just had them fibreglassed again...Sending them off to be chrome covered ! not cheap but looks great. and yes there is places out there that can chrome finish plastic and fibreglass.....

well I could perhaps fix mine but it's probably on a road side in the middle of Wales somewhere! I don't think I'd want to fix it anyway - not one of Big Dog's finest parts...and $350!!!

Lee, can you get the American Ebay. Just a thought you may get a much better deal than that:up:

maybe - I'm going to see if I can get some fabbed up out of sheet steel first. Shouldn't be too difficult for someone who knows what they're doing

Lee, I have a spare set for an 05' DT chopper. They have cracks in them and you would have to fix and paint them... which side do you need? I can mail you one. I'm not sure they would even fit. PM me if interested. Marc

Lee, I also have some old covers from my Bulldog "Black" somewhere.

These covers are poor to say the least, and the fix they came up with was just as bad, the EHC (eieio) and the covers are the only things I dislike about my dogs.
