Air compressor suggestion???

This damn compressor thread has a lot of wind...no pun intended:lol:

The picture shows my old(craftsman/2hp/12 gallon tank late 70's 80's early ventage) and my new kobalt 30 gallon. Had to have more volume to run the plasma cutter.

if you are going to spend the money get one that can handle at least 90psi cuz that is what your impact wrenches will use (3/8, 1/2in) also cut off tools use air really fast so you need a bigger tank. If you dont mind sittin around waiting for air then go small. like I said before I have 35gal and 5hp and I never have to wait for air you could prolly do a 27gal and be fine. In my eyes if your going to spend the money you might as well get one that will do it all and last!!

I used to have a cheap oil less compressor that was so loud you needed ear plugs in the garage when it came on. It finally croked and I went to Home Depot ( around $300)and got the same size but this one has oil and is much less loud. I used it a lot and it works great.
