I have a 2010 bulldog bagger won't start fuel pump runs hit start button nothing led lights on ignition just put it back together from paint but did nothing on wiring other than radio

Check your battery connections and your solenoid wire connection.

When you hit the start button do you get the LED on the EHC?

Disable the ignition so the motorcycle will not start.
Measure the DC voltage drop from the starter housing to the negative battery terminal while cranking the motor.
Is the voltage drop greater than 1.0 volts?

Make sure your cables are tight on your starter, I found mine had worked loose a while back. You should be getting around 12 volts to the small green wire on the starter solenoid when the start button is pushed.

Measure the DC voltage drop across the power cable from positive battery terminal to starter terminal while cranking the motor.

I would try something like a set of heavy jumper cables directly to the starter, key on, see if the bike starts. This way you can narrow it down to the starting system, because the bike runs, no crank at the handlebar, but starts with a jump direct... see that narrowing down there of?

Okay your confusing me.
When you measure the voltage across the positive battery terminal and the positive lug on the starter you should have a minimum of 12.8 volts. Then when you crank the motor over you should see some drop in the voltage but not more than 1 volt. If you see 3.19 volts then there is your problem.
How are you "jumping" the starter?
Pull the solenoid cover and firmly push the plunger in to spin the starter.

It cranks if i jump the starter
Now that we know the bike can crank over via the cables, we need to narrow down 2 variables. So the bike cranks with key on, kill switch set to ON, but will not start.

1. Fuel = Do we have gas in the tank? This is missed I can't tell you how many times that first move is the cap being off and looking and rocking the bike side to side and listen for slosh.

2. Spark = We could have spark missing if fuel and compression is present. So the trick is to pull the plugs, note if they are wet or dry? Wet is a good sign that if spark is present, the plug is fouled. If not spark, the HE is going to be looked into are the connections.

3. Compression = We will assume the bike ran well before the paint job so eliminate comp for now.

So for me to kill 2 birds is gas and spark, my plugs will decipher that answer once I have cables jumped to the starter, key on, kill switch, gas in tank, I can't push this bike in 1st gear the compression is that strong it drags the tire... Try that and keep the plugs away from the holes when grounding the plugs to the engine all plugged in and all that look see.
