It cranks if i jump the starter
Now that we know the bike can crank over via the cables, we need to narrow down 2 variables. So the bike cranks with key on, kill switch set to ON, but will not start.
1. Fuel = Do we have gas in the tank? This is missed I can't tell you how many times that first move is the cap being off and looking and rocking the bike side to side and listen for slosh.
2. Spark = We could have spark missing if fuel and compression is present. So the trick is to pull the plugs, note if they are wet or dry? Wet is a good sign that if spark is present, the plug is fouled. If not spark, the HE is going to be looked into are the connections.
3. Compression = We will assume the bike ran well before the paint job so eliminate comp for now.
So for me to kill 2 birds is gas and spark, my plugs will decipher that answer once I have cables jumped to the starter, key on, kill switch, gas in tank, I can't push this bike in 1st gear the compression is that strong it drags the tire... Try that and keep the plugs away from the holes when grounding the plugs to the engine all plugged in and all that look see.
