Keep the new sensor in place. You did [match] measure both when they were on the bench, yes? Do this... just a stab at the black box. You can still bench the leads without removing the sensor. No movement at the crank, same as if on the bench.
1. Pull ground off battery.
2. With key on, no matter who has watt, toggle everything on that bike. Brakes, switches, 4 times or more times [the better] at the key switch is the on and off. Why? It's a computer bike. It may have it's own learn relay inside? I asked the question and no one knows. So I'm after the saved RAM to be wiped out. Key fobbing is to drain the capacitors, right? This is where I assume it starts at the last good known value saved in the capacitor... but cranking with an out of range sensor?
So I want the bike to start at ROM. Or 0000. All zeros in binary speak. It's like a new unit. Like wiping the hard drive back to a new tower out of the factory box.
