OK I googled it. There’s a symbol instead of the ohms word it says if it’s one or less or oh well, it’s an open circuit two of them 0 one is a one the 1 (ground )) that was from the wire that plugs into the sensor wire to the speedometer

OK I finally found my leads that are small enough to get a good reading. With my meter set on 200. Red green and black from the sensor to the speedometer. All read 00.9 is that in the ballpark of what they should read

OK I unplug the sensor turn the key to the on position. And check for power active sensor not the short wire off the sensor the other one. I get 13+ bolts if I ground it to the bike if I ground it to the black wire I get nothing. Does that mean the wire is broke between there and the speedometer?
Here you said the wires going to the sensor Red to black no voltage. Red to ground 13 volts. That tells me the black wire from pin 45 to the sensor is open?? Or pin 45 is not connected to ground? If you look at the middle picture in post #64 the dark black pins should all read to battery neg. / ground. Pins 19,22,35,36,37,38,39,40,42,43,44,45,46,47 & 48

I was confused when you said in post 89 all wires read 00.9 ohms from the sensor to the speedo. The green wire goes directly from the sensor to the speedo. The black goes from the sensor to the EHC pin 45 then out pin 40 to the speedo. Red wire goes from sensor to the EHC pin 29 the out pin 50 to the speedo.

When you have your meter set to 200 with the leads apart does it say OL and then when you touch both leads together what does it read 00.9?

i’ll check it out tomorrow. I am off to bed. My alarm goes off in six hours. I did notice today. It would be left side of battery along the frame, a bolt that has a wire eyelet under it and the wires been cut or broken but I can find no wire anywhere, that should go there
