04 pitbull to ridgeback build

Energy One
Update
Making good progress, installed the Barnett throttle and idle cables and it fixed the issue with the throttle sticking
Adjusted the clutch
Controls installed and fit perfectly, all wiring connected and need to buy a battery to test the electrical system before installing the tank.
Just waiting on the front caliper to connect the front brake. And then it’s out to make the wheel spacers and the Arlen ness air filter bracket modified to fit the g carb.
Getting close stay tuned it moving along !

Hooked up the old battery only reading around 10volts.
Speedo works, turn signals are dim and horn works , no headlight . New battery will be shipped tomorrow

Does that speedo have a voltmeter mode?
It does not. I checked the battery with my multimeter and the readings are all over the board. I think this battery is junk but they are sending me another one at no charge. I may keep it as a spare and order a Braille . I plan on using the new battery to check out the esc and all systems

Looks like you went with the blue Dakota for visibility even though you have a red bike ?

I hate digital gauges, but I haven't seen anything offered as reliable alternatives. I guess you didn't find anything either ?

The blue speedo is from the pitbull , not really worried about matching the color on the speedo.

Docs esc is awesome and I am sure I fucked it up somewhere. Now I am trouble shooting
Here is what I have, left hand control all functions work .. horn, high and low beam front left turn signal. No rear turn signal.
Right hand control , no functions work
I have lights on all 4 turn signals ...
I did just replace the right pcb board ..
1 step forward .. 10 steps back

Most likely it's just the connection at the PCB board cause it's finicky if you don't get it right but if you don't want to take the hand control apart first then just jump the pins for the right turn signal at the gas tank connection since you got the tank off and it's right there and see what happens.

If it works there you'll know the issue is definitely north

Started with the tank connection and I had the wires in the wrong pins. Fixed that but still having the issue. I am going to check the pcb board connection next

Got it figured out ! Because I had to take the jst connector apart originally my wires were off, after reviewing my notes I changed them around and sure enough everything is working.
Love the esc but the wire colors do not match stock and I don’t see anywhere on the schematics where it explains what the esc wire colors mean. It wouldn’t have been an issue if i was only plugging it in to the stock and that’s on me for messing up the wiring

Not sure if anyone else has had issues with the reed switch connection not staying connected but this is what I did to ensure it doesn’t come off. I used a small piece of heatshrink and slid it over the connector. I carefully , I mean carefully heated up the heat shrink not to put too much heat on the board. I think that should hold ? Anyone else has issues with this ?
